Iranian S-300 Locations
Given the recent tensions with the United States & Iran, many have speculated that a war between the two forces is looming. With the deployment of an aircraft carrier in the region, F-35s to the Middle East along with large numbers of other US assets in the region the United States certainly has the capacity to launch air strikes on targets in Iran.
Irans main defence against any US air strikes would be it’s S-300 missile system purchased from Russia. Iran have spread these throughout the country at various locations of strategic importance. Bellow is the S-300 locations that are able to be identified through the use of satellite photos
1st is the S-300 site at Bushehr International Airport. This imagery is dated from February 2019.
Range of the system from its location bellow
The next S-300 location is located at Shahid Beheshti International Airport in Isfahan, with this site 4 launchers are able to be clearly identified with 3 of them in an upwards positions
One of the other S-300 locations is again at Shahid Beheshti International just slightly to the other-side, this site by the looks of it is not yet a fully operational S-300 site. Haven’t added the range for this site as it is almost identical to the range of the the site at the other-side of the airport
The next site is south of Tehran & based of what can be seen at the site it can be worked out that this site will likely become an operational S-300 location in the near future
Also in Tehran is a S-300 site to the east of the city
Also in the east of Tehran is an S-300 site that is in the process of being operational
Next to Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran is an active S-300 site
At Mashhad International Airport is another S-300 site
It is worth remembering that these missiles can be moved around if Iran believe they may be better used in other locations depending on the threat that the country faces.
