Popular OSINT community Twitter accounts suspended
On Saturday, 2 popular OSINT community Twitter accounts were suspended, one of them @beepdelete, and the another @ELINTNews, allegedly for violating Indian law, ELINTNews provided screenshots of the emails sent by Twitter’s legal team:
Beepdelete, however, did not receive any warning or notification from Twitter or it’s legal team before being suspended. The assumption right now is that the suspensions are related to this article claiming that at least 8 OSINT accounts are “misusing Pakistani defense lines”
“An independent social media tracking operation that commenced after the February 26 Balakot air strikes has found that there are at least eight Twitter handles that pose to be ‘independent observers’ behind Pakistani defence lines but are spreading unconfirmed news, many at times fake.”
On Monday morning, Twitter users and OSINT community members noticed that @IntelCrab has been suspended now as well, the account has over 50,000 followers, and the reason for the suspension is unknown at the time this was written.
