Huawei devices will no longer receive Android updates

Google has announced that they will be following the US and will now ban access and Android updates on all Hauwei devices. What does this mean for Huawei and those who own Huawei devices?

Huawei will no longer be able to license Android, meaning users will no longer be able to update their phones to the latest version. This also means that future Huawei devices will not be able to access Google services such as the Play Store, YouTube, Google Play Music, and more.

Google isn't the only company doing this though. Intel, Broadcom and Qualcomm all said that they will stop supplying Huawei with hardware.

This all stems from the Executive Order establishing a national emergency and blocking US companies from doing business with Huawei. This action comes in response to reports that Huawei is spying on users for the Chinese Government.

This is a piece of the larger economic war between the US and China one, which we recommend you watch closely.
